Amanda Lee Swingtet 'Holiday Swing Social' @The Jazz Loft

In June 2022, the iconic Singapore music venue Blu Jaz reopened its live music program with the Jazz Loft, located on the 3rd floor of it’s premises at Bali Lane.The mission of this new space, is to showcase jazz, and improvisation, as an evolving art form, rather than a museum-piece, presenting those artists, both local and international, that are part of the forward motion, and artistic development of the music.

Join the Amanda Lee Swingtet for an afternoon of dancing to popular holiday classics as well as other well-loved swing classics.

Known for their fun-loving camaraderie and playful dexterity, the Amanda Lee Swingtet aims to spread the joy of jazz from its roots and beyond. Led by Singaporean pianist and dancer Amanda Lee, they are a regular on the local jazz scene and also perform internationally, including Ubud Village Jazz Festival, 1st International Jazz Festival Nha Trang and Taipei.Join the band for an afternoon of dancing to popular holiday classics (including their recently released Christmas album) as well as other well-loved swing classics. All dancers - lindy hop, balboa and blues - and listeners are welcome! The Band:Amanda Lee - piano, vocals Judy Tsai - double bassRaf Soundwalker - drums Leo Jeoh - trombone Johan Liedburg - saxophones Doors open at 3.30pm.Sets at 4pm and 5.15pm.
