Inspirational life-affirming music-making is at the heart of the YST Conservatory. Centred in one of the world’s most dynamic countries, YST is uniquely placed to offer a distinct and powerful contemporary Asian voice.The Conservatory brings together a world-class faculty and facility to nurture students in performance, composition, production and engagement. Through our undergraduate, graduate, continuing education and youth offerings, we connect dynamically with the surrounding musical ecosystem. We host a vibrant performance calendar with around 200 concerts annually, featuring students and faculty alongside international artists. Our community engagement programme has extensive local and global reach. Students are supported to find their own artistic pathways through exchanges, festivals, competitions and projects. More broadly, our international networks further enhance the educational experience and ensure our continued evolution.

Immerse yourself in the innovative world of contemporary music with OpusNovus' second concert, "Threes &amp; Fours", as part of the YST Chamber Music Week. This program explores the rich diversity of modern musical expression in a chamber music setting, featuring the ethereal sonorities of YST Vice-Dean Ho Chee Kong’s A Crescent Opal to the vibrant, rhythmic energy of Vivian Fung’s Rhapsody for Trumpet and Piano, the playful intricacies of György Kurtág’s Signs, Games, and Messages, the haunting lyricism of Isang Yun’s Nore, and the stark beauty of Edison Denisov’s Drei Stücke. Rounding out the program is Erik Griswold’s Action Music, a rhythmic tour de force bursting with kinetic energy. Join us for an evening where sound, space, and structure converge in striking and unexpected ways. The festival will also feature YST’s annual contemporary music festival Sounding Now and Song Festival: The Voices of England &amp; France — expanding the chamber music experience beyond classical and instrumental traditions.Don’t miss this invaluable opportunity to learn from acclaimed chamber musicians, while fully immersing in the world of chamber music!
