NSA is a 4-session project choir for busy folks. This season's repertoire explores iconic folk tunes from the British Isles.

Voices of Singapore Capitol Studios (B1)

No Strings Attached is a 4-session choral project organised by the Voices of Singapore, aiming to provide a platform for busy working adults who still love choir to rehearse and explore beautiful choral works.The programme is designed for those looking for choral rigour, who enjoy a challenge, with focus pieces that will be worked on in detail, as well as quick-read pieces that will be sight-read. The final rehearsal will have a mini performance session where participants can invite their friends to watch, and a potluck after where everyone can come together for drinks and a small meal. Something Old, Something New: Folk Tunes from the British Isles This season will be conducted by Rebecca Reavley. The repertoire explores modern takes on old classics, and the stories behind them. Each piece displays folk tunes that are still found everywhere, from classic pop arrangements like Simon and Garfunkel’s Scarborough Fair, to even Tiktok trends with Sea Shanties like the Drunken Sailor . The showcase date will be on 24th April. What Shall We Do with the Drunken Sailor (arr. David Eddleman)Scarborough Fair (arr. Jay Althouse)Danny Boy (arr. Adam &amp; Matt Podd)Red is the Rose (arr. Mark Brymer) Rehearsal dates are on Thursdays: 3rd April: 7.45-10pm, VOS Level 3 Sky Studio 10th April: 7.45-10pm, VOS B1 Recital Studio 17th April: 7.45-10pm, VOS B1 Recital Studio 24 April: 7.30-8.30pm rehearsal, 8.30-10.00pm performance and potluck, VOS B1 Recital Studio There is a participation fee of $65 (not inclusive of platform fees and GST) for all singers. As the sessions are fast-paced and the season is short, it is best if you have prior choral experience and confidence in reading sheet music or learning music quickly. We will advise participants on the suitability of the programme based on your choral experience.
