Frequently asked questions

What is RE:PLAY?

RE:PLAY is a mini festival series hosted by Indian-Italian fashion label Raja Rani and narrative design agency Narratology. It's all about creativity, community, and giving old things a fresh spin – through upcycled fashion, music, food, and fun.

Is the event free?

Entry to RE:PLAY is free! Some activities, like the Saree Upcycling Workshop, may have separate charges – but register via Eventbrite before the event and enjoy a 15% discount on the day!

How does the Saree Upcycling Workshop work?

Bring a pre-loved saree (or any 1m x 1m raw, unstitched fabric you’d like to reuse) and choose from a selection of patterns (like a kimono, pants, or accessories). Raja Rani will then arrange to have your new piece handcrafted by our partner artisans in India, and mailed to you after the event.

How much will the upcycled saree pieces cost?

The pieces will range from $20 to $90 depending on the design. Each piece will then handcrafted by artisans from Rajasthan, India, which helps to support local communities whose livelihood relies on sewing our threads.

Can I buy ready-made clothes from Raja Rani too?

Absolutely! Visit the Raja Rani pop-up at RE:PLAY to shop their beautiful one-of-a-kind pieces, from their signature kimonos to beautiful silk dresses.

Will there be food and drinks?

Yes! Our friends at AT feast will be serving up a specially curated menu of delicious Indian bites and refreshing drinks throughout the afternoon.

What kind of music can I expect?

DJs Raja Rani and RAAJ will be spinning a lively mix of Bollywood, Tamil, and electronic beats, with a few spicy remixes thrown in for good measure!

Is it family- and pet-friendly?

100%! Bring the kids, bring your pets – there’ll be music, activities, and plenty of space for everyone to relax and have fun.
