Now based in Paris, she brings a fast-paced, intense mix of heavy techno, hard-edged baile funk, electro and Latino core. It's a formula many have since tried to copy, but few have equalled. From the subterranean energy of São Paulo to a new base in Paris, Slim Soledad architects sound built on speed and impact. She navigates the space where heavy techno's propulsion meets the jagged edges of baile funk, cut through with electro shocks and the relentless pulse of Latino core. A singular frequency others tune into, but rarely replicate with such sharp focus.But that singular frequency resonates deeper, rooted in dance and the architecture of community. Slim Soledad helped forge spaces where queer survival could find its breath and its beat. Ground zero for this is Travesti identity, that fierce Brazilian transfeminine force shaping resistance into radical invention. It's imprinted onto the music: an urgent cadence of movement, the necessity of flux, the spectral sound of sanctuary carved out in precarious moments.“I think that since I was very young I have a relationship with art, I mean with music and dance mainly. I believe they were things that marked my childhood and who I am today.
