<h2>What is Adult Art Club (AAC)?</h2><p>AAC is a low-pressure creative space for adults who’ve been craving to make things — but keep putting it off.</p><p>Maybe you:</p><ul><li>Have lots of saved ideas but never start</li><li>Don’t have the materials or space at home</li><li>Feel rusty, unsure, or intimidated by “art classes”</li><li>Just want to make something quietly alongside other people</li></ul><p>AAC is <strong><strong>not</strong></strong> a class, workshop, or critique session.<br>It’s a relaxed, lightly facilitated open studio where you can show up as you are, pick something to try, and start.</p><p><br></p><h3>What happens during the session?</h3><p>You arrive.<br>We help you get settled and, if you want, suggest an easy place to begin.</p><ul><li>Choose to start somewhere.</li><li>Make something with your hands</li><li>Space out, focus, or chat a little — totally optional</li></ul><p>There’s no fixed outcome, no expectations, and no need to “finish” anything.<br>We’re here to lower the barrier between <em><em>wanting to create</em></em> and <em><em>actually starting</em></em>.</p><p><br></p><h3>Art Activities for the Adult Art Club</h3><p>We’ll have a range of materials ready, including:</p><ul><li>18 July - Shrink Plastic Making</li><li>8 August - Drawing Night (This is only available to public, not for existing or previous clients) </li><li>15 August - Air Dry Clay Making</li></ul><p>You don’t need to decide what to do beforehand.<br>If you feel stuck, we’re happy to help you choose something simple to start with.<br>You’re also welcome to bring your own materials if there’s something specific you want to work on.</p><p><br></p><h3>Who is this for?</h3><p>AAC is for:</p><ul><li>Adults who miss being creative</li><li>Beginners, returners, and “I’m-not-an-art-person” people</li><li>Anyone who wants a calm, supportive space to make things</li></ul><p>No pressure to talk.<br>No pressure to be good.<br>No pressure to produce anything impressive.</p><p><br></p><h3>Ticket price: $38</h3><p>Your ticket covers:</p><ul><li>All shared art materials and tools</li><li>Use of the studio space</li><li>A two-hour block where you don’t have to plan, prepare, or clean up</li></ul><p>Just show up and create.</p><p><br></p><h3>Hosted by</h3><ul><li>Rachel, watercolor artist (<a href="https://www.instagram.com/studio_ruiimake/" title="https://www.instagram.com/studio_ruiimake/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">@studio_ruiimake</a>)</li><li>Jue Ann, art psychotherapist (<a href="https://www.instagram.com/jueintime/" title="https://www.instagram.com/jueintime/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">@jueintime</a>)</li></ul><p><br></p><h3>Notes</h3><ul><li>The studio is not wheelchair accessible.</li><li>The space is home to 3 calm resident cats.
