1. Is this walk suitable for beginners?

Accepted Answer

Yes! This is a relaxed 4 km walk at a comfortable pace. Most adults and families with older children should be able to complete it.

2. What should I bring?

Please wear comfortable walking shoes, light clothing, bring a water bottle, umbrella and/or cap (if needed), insect repellent (optional), and a fully charged phone or camera for photos.

3. What happens if it rains?

The walk may be postponed, cancelled, or the route adjusted if there is heavy rain or lightning for everyone’s safety. Updates will be shared through our event WhatsApp group => https://bit.ly/4cANQt6

4. Can I bring my children or friends

Absolutely! Friends and family are welcome. Children should be accompanied by a responsible adult throughout the walk. But do register.

5. Will there be wildlife?

MacRitchie is home to birds, squirrels, dragonflies, butterflies, monitor lizards, long-tailed macaques, and many native plants. We will observe wildlife respectfully from a safe distance and never feed the animals.

6. Is this a guided nature walk?

No. This is not a guided tour. A walk leader will lead the group along the planned route and facilitate nature connection activities. The focus is on enjoying the walk together at a relaxed pace, connecting with nature, and building friendships with other participants.

7. Is there a participation fee?

No. This community walk is free to join. After the walk, those who wish are welcome to join us for dinner near Thomson Plaza. Dinner is optional, and each participant pays for their own meal.
