Trauma-sensitive mindfulness is designed to help individuals work skillfully with themselves and others, particularly in the context of trauma and its effects on the mind and body. This retreat will focus on expanding participants’ window of tolerance through techniques aimed at nervous system regulation and embodiment practices. By exploring these skills, participants will increase their resilience and ability to navigate challenging emotional states, fostering a deeper sense of safety and connection within themselves and with others.


Full Course Fee: $480

• Please note that payments for courses are non-refundable.

• There are no make-up lessons if you miss any session.

• If you miss the first session, you are allowed to proceed with the course. However, the trainer is not obligated to do a recap during the second session.

• Brahm Centre reserves the right to replace a trainer, should the trainer be unable to conduct the class due to unforeseen circumstances.

RETREAT LEADER

David Treleaven, PhD, is a trauma professional, educator and author, working at the intersection of mindfulness and trauma. He has published the acclaimed book Trauma-Sensitive Mindfulness and founder of the Trauma-Sensitive Mindfulness (TSM) Community—a group of practitioners committed to setting a standard of care through mindfulness-based practices, interventions, and programs.

David focuses on offering mindfulness providers with the knowledge and tools they require to meet the needs of those struggling with trauma. Through workshops, keynotes, podcasts, and online education, he is closely engaged with current empirical research to inform best practices.

His work has been adopted into multiple mindfulness teacher training programs around the world, including UCLA’s Mindful Awareness Research Center, the Engaged Mindfulness Institute, and Bangor University’s MA in Mindfulness program in the UK.
