<h2><em><em>Easter Jazz </em></em></h2><h2><em><em>by Sarah-Kei Lauw &amp; Russell Tay</em></em></h2><p><br></p><p><br></p><h2><strong><strong>Sarah-Kei and Russell first crossed paths 8 years ago in Melbourne, Australia, as fervent young musicians at the beginning of their jazz journeys.</strong></strong></h2><p><br></p><h2><strong><strong>Today, these vivacious musicians are thrilled to be performing together on this special evening. </strong></strong></h2><h2><strong><strong>Bring a date or loved ones with you to enjoy their musical exchange, savoured with a cocktail or two. </strong></strong></h2><p><br></p><h2><strong><strong>Get ready for a dynamic dialogue featuring well-loved jazz standards, bossa nova numbers and lush, tender ballads.</strong></strong></h2><h2><br></h2><h2>Sarah-Kei Lauw (vocals)</h2><h2>Russell Tay (piano)</h2><h2><br></h2><p><br></p><h2>Artists Bio </h2><p><br></p><h2>Sarah-Kei Lauw</h2><h3>Having grown up with jazz music as the soundtrack to her childhood, jazz is Sarah-Kei's first love. With a foundation in classical piano and voice, she has sung with the Singapore Lyric Opera as well as local a capella group Vocaluptuous. She is an alumnus of The Esplanade's Mosaic Jazz Fellows Programme, and when her day job allows, she continues to perform at venues such as The Esplanade and The Jazz Loft at Blu Jaz Cafe.</h3>

<h2>Russell Tay </h2><h3>Singapore-born, Melbourne-based pianist and composer Russell Tay played classical music in his childhood before foraying into jazz in his early twenties. He completed his undergraduate studies at the Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music (Monash University, Australia) in 2017, winning the prize for Best Overall Student and the Bornstein Jazz Piano prize. In 2018, he graduated from Monash with first-class honours in Jazz Music Performance. </h3><p><br></p><h3>Russell has showcased his talents both locally and abroad, having performed in events from the Melbourne International Jazz Festival to Singapore's Jazz in July. His pianistic versatility has afforded him the opportunities to perform alongside jazz luminaries like Terri-Lyne Carrington and Chris McNulty, to Montreal-based virtuoso violinist, Alexandre Da Costa. Russell is currently an active performer in the Melbourne jazz scene, where he leads his own trio and is also a sideman for multiple critically-acclaimed projects.</h3>
