About Beyond the LabelBeyond the Label (BTL) is a nation-wide movement to fight stigma towards Persons with Mental Health Conditions (PMHCs). Led by the National Council of Social Service and TOUCH Community Services, the BTL Collective has been working in partnership with stakeholders in the mental health ecosystem to achieve objectives such as:1. Raise awareness of stigma and advocate for greater support for PMHCs2. Educate and equip the public with peer support skills to interact with and support PMHCs3. Implement workplace adjustments to support PMHCs in the workplace more effectively4. Encourage early help-seeking by motivating those in need to seek help earlySince its inception in 2018, the BTL movement was largely focused on driving public awareness and the acceptance of PMHCs as part of Singapore’s social fabric. The evolution into BTL 2.0 has reinforced the need for family and community support and promote active inclusion of PMHCs.Through an integrated approach to engage different groups, BTL’s focus will be on Campaign promotion of awareness and acceptance of PMHCs; equipping workplaces, schools and families in the Community with resources to demonstrate resilience; and enabling Care in the form of intervention and integration in neighbourhoods.

About BTL Fest Beyond the Label Festival (BTL Fest) is an annual signature event dedicated to foster greater community support and encourage help-seeking behaviour by addressing the stigma associated with mental health conditions. BTL Fest is a non-ticketed event and open to people of all ages.Taking place at Jewel Changi Airport for the second year, BTL Fest will feature educational workshops, interactive booths, games, and performances aimed towards promoting mental wellbeing. It provides a safe and informative space for participants to engage in conversations about mental health and where to seek help.

Let's Get Talking! This year’s theme ‘Let’s Get Talking’ highlights the importance of having conversations surrounding mental health. By sharing our stories, we can create a supportive community around us.1 in 7 Singaporeans experience mental health challenges in their lifetime, yet 8 in 10 are concerned about being judged if they seek help – often due to stigma. Research shows that those who seek support often took more than a year to do so.By creating a supportive environment, we can encourage individuals struggling with their mental health to openly share and support one another. Join us at BTL Fest 2024 as we get talking on how each of us can make a difference!

Catch dance and musical performances as our emcee, Mediacorp Personality Joakim Gomez, guides us through a day filled with activities in support of mental wellness. Additionally, join our BTL Champion, Mediacorp Artiste Rebecca Lim, as she shares her personal experiences and perspectives on mental health.
