About this event
- Event lasts 3 hours
What if the parts or feelings we’ve been taught to fear or suppress - the so-called "sins" - are actually parts of ourselves longing to be understood and embraced?
Join us for an eye-opening exploration of the 9 Deadly Sins, not as flaws to eradicate, but as natural human expressions that, when misunderstood or misaligned, can lead to internal disconnection and external pain.
Inspired by Elise Loehnen’s New York Times bestselling book, “On Our Best Behavior: The Seven Deadly Sins and the Price Women Pay to Be Good”, this event delves into our contemporary culture and the unhealthy patriarchal norms that shape our lives.
In this thought-provoking session, we’ll dive into:
- How society labels our natural feelings and desires as "bad" - and the impact of these judgments on our sense of self.
- The hidden cost of striving to be "good" - what happens when we suppress our true selves to fit societal expectations.
- Transforming our relationship with the parts of ourselves we’ve been told to reject - and reclaiming them as essential pieces of our wholeness.
- Embracing these so-called "sins" - not as indulgences, but as vital aspects of our humanity.
This is not about justifying harmful behavior or rebelling for rebellion’s sake. It’s about shifting from shame to curiosity, from repression to understanding. Together, we’ll unravel the origins of these labels, question their validity and discover the beauty in embracing all facets of who we are.
By the end of this session, you’ll walk away with a deeper understanding of yourself, a renewed sense of compassion for your humanity, and tools to integrate these "shadow" aspects into a more authentic, fulfilling life.
Who is this for?
This event is for anyone who has ever felt the weight of societal expectations, struggled with self-judgment, or wondered if there’s more to their "flaws" than meets the eye. If you’re ready to explore the richness of your inner world and reclaim your wholeness, this is for you.
Reserve your spot today and take the first step toward embracing your complete, unapologetic self.
