The modern world is a whirlwind of constant change and uncertainty. In this present climate it’s easy to be overwhelmed by feelings of hopelessness, as if events are spiralling beyond our control. This sense of chaos can lead to significant stress and anxiety, leaving us feeling adrift and unable to find solid ground. Yet, within the teachings of Buddha lies a path to lasting peace — a way to navigate these turbulent times with clarity and strength.


During this 3-class series, discover powerful methods drawn from Buddha’s timeless wisdom, which empower us to remain calm and resilient in the midst of an ever-changing and unpredictable world. Through guided meditations and practical teachings, you'll learn to cultivate inner stability and develop the mental tools remain at peace regardless of our external conditions.

Everybody is welcome to attend any week, regardless of experience.

What to expect at a class:

Approx. 75 min class

  • 10 min Welcome & introduction
  • 20 min Introductory relaxation meditation
  • 30 min Main teaching & instruction
  • 15 min Deeper, guided meditation on the teaching topic

There is also an opportunity for Q&A with Gen Rabka after class

About the Teacher:

Gen Kelsang Rabka is an Australian Buddhist monk who was appointed as the Resident Teacher of KMC Singapore in mid-2020. He has been studying and practicing Kadampa Buddhism with Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche and his senior disciples for over 15 years, and has taught in Asia, Australia and the UK.

The clarity and warmth in his teachings have helped many students experience the practical benefits of modern Kadampa Buddhism in their daily lives.

I can't sit on a cushion, is it OK to sit in a chair?

It's completely possible to engage in qualified meditation while sitting in a chair. We provide both chairs and cushions in our meditation classes, so you can choose depending upon your preference :)

I'm completely new to meditation, is it possible for me to attend your classes?

Absolutely! We always make our classes accessible to everybody, and everybody is welcome to attend regardless of experience and personal beliefs.

Is it possible to just attend 1 week of this series?

Yes. Whilst there is benefit in attending all of the classes in a series to get the most out of the topic being explored, each class is self-contained. (Please note however that our new live-streaming option is only available for those wishing to attend the full series.)

What is your refund policy?

If you book but are unable to attend a class please get in touch and we'll be happy to either transfer your booking to another series, or fully refund your booking fee (less the non-refundable Eventbrite fee)

Why do you charge for your classes?

KMC Singapore isn't supported by benefactor donations and we receive no government assistance to cover our costs. Because of this we ask for a small fee to cover our running costs such as rent. If you are having financial difficulties please get in touch as we can help.
