Frequently asked questions

What is Chinese Learning Adventures?

Chinese Learning Adventures organizes immersive, hands-on Mandarin experiences for children. Our programs go beyond classroom learning, helping kids develop real-world language skills through nature, science, art, and cultural adventures in Singapore and China.

How many tickets should I get?

Every child aged 1-4 needs to have their own ticket to attend the playgroup. Parents do not need a separate ticket but must accompany their child throughout the session. This helps us manage group sizes and ensure personalized attention for each child.

Can I bring younger siblings?

This playgroup is designed for children aged 1-4. If you have an infant below 1 year old, please message us on WhatsApp at +65 8955 7635 to discuss if accommodations can be made.

What should my child wear?

Please dress your child in comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and shoes suitable for outdoor exploration. We recommend wearing hats, sunscreen, and bringing water bottles for hydration.

Do I need to bring anything?

Please bring a small snack and water for your child. There will be snack time during the session. We will provide all necessary materials for the activities.

Can my child participate if they don't speak Mandarin?

Yes! This program is designed to immerse children in Mandarin in a fun, natural way. No prior Mandarin knowledge is required, and the focus is on language exposure and learning through play.

What happens if my child is absent?

Rescheduling is allowed for illness/emergencies if reported 24 hours in advance via WhatsApp (+65 8955 7635). No refunds or rescheduling for absences without notice.

What if a session is canceled?

In case of extreme weather or unforeseen events, we will offer a rescheduled session.

Will there be shade during the activities?

Yes, the activities will be held in shaded areas around Swan Lake, but please ensure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather.

What is the teacher-to-child ratio?

We maintain a 1:5 ratio for our parent-accompanied playgroups. This ensures that each child receives personalized attention while parents are actively involved in the learning process alongside their child.

Why do you focus on small group sizes?

Small groups allow better teacher-child interaction and more personalized learning. With fewer children, each child gets more time to engage, ask questions, and explore the environment, making the experience more meaningful and tailored to their interests.

How can I stay updated on your programs?

Message us on WhatsApp at +65 8955 7635 and updates on future programs.
