Join us for an engaging talk on the women who shaped Katong/Joo Chiat’s vibrant history. Explore the lives of Peranakan, Malay, Chinese, Eurasian, and Indian women who navigated shifting moral and spatial landscapes as entrepreneurs, homemakers, and community leaders. Discover their resilience and how their stories intertwine with the cultural and social fabric of the area. These narratives reveal the evolving moral values and agency of women across generations, offering a unique glimpse into the rich heritage of this dynamic neighbourhood!

This event is recommended for children 12 and above only, for anyone interested in the social and cultural history of Joo Chiat.
