A joyful start to Chinese literacy for K2 children!
Our Primary School Chinese Readiness Programme for K2 builds essential reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills through stories, drama, games, and more. Children grow in confidence and expression while discovering the fun in Chinese language learning.
Your child will gain:
- Confidence and enjoyment in learning Chinese
- A growing love for reading and storytelling
- Stronger writing skills, preparing them for Primary 1
- Better listening, turn-taking, and communication habits
- Wider vocabulary and improved pronunciation
- A sense of pride in expressing themselves
What your child will learn:
🧠 Reading Children explore a wide range of Chinese picture books, poems, and stories. They learn to recognise characters, understand meaning, and progress towards independent reading and comprehension.
✍️ Writing Starting with stroke order and character formation, children gradually move towards constructing full sentences and imaginative stories, gaining confidence in expressing themselves through writing.
🗣 Speaking Drama, rhymes, games, and conversation activities help children express ideas clearly and confidently—building fluency in everyday spoken Chinese.
👂 Listening Through engaging storytelling and dramatised readings, children expand their vocabulary, imagination, and listening comprehension in a fun and memorable way.
Our learning activities include:
- Physical, vocal, and mental warm-ups
- Group reading of books, stories, and poems
- Sharing ideas and reflections on stories
- Word games to reinforce vocabulary
- Drama and role-play for immersive learning
- Creative writing and sentence-building exercises
We make every moment count—through play, creativity, and thoughtful guidance, your child will not only gain language skills but also confidence, joy, and a lasting love for Chinese.
Join us and help your child take their first joyful steps into the world of Chinese literacy!
