Rise and shine! Start your Saturday morning right this May with a coffee cupping session, led by Kasidis Laoboonmee (Pop) — co-founder of fan-favourite Thai roaster, RISE COFFEE.
As part of our collaboration with the well-loved brand, Pop will be guiding us through his handpicked selection of specialty coffees, which includes RISE's signature coffees roasted at their cafe and micro-roastery flagship store in Bangkok. We've also included some exclusive nano-lots of single-origin coffees from Thailand, making this a hard-to-miss opportunity, given the rarity of Thai coffees in Singapore.
Coffee cupping is an industry-standard method used by coffee professionals to identify and compare different coffee beans, an essential part of the coffee production process for selection and quality control. During a cupping session, coffee is ground, brewed with hot water, and then allowed to steep. Participants then slurp coffee from a spoon to evaluate the coffee's aroma, flavour, acidity, body, and aftertaste.
Look forward to an interactive session with Pop, where he’ll be on-hand to share the origins, processing methods and tasting notes of each coffee, while the MORNING team will facilitate the step-by-step process of a professional coffee cupping session. He will also be able to answer any queries you may have about the brand, coffee, and Thailand's specialty coffee scene. And yes, a limited quantity of RISE's coffee beans will be available for sale too!
