Players use specialised electric wheelchairs, called powerchairs, to play a modified version of soccer. Foot guards are attached to the front of the powerchairs, allowing players to kick the ball.
Eligibility: Open to persons with physical disabilities, aged 6 years old and above.
Powerchair Football is particularly suitable for persons with the following conditions:
- Muscular dystrophy
- Cerebral palsy
- Quadriplegia
- Spinal cord injury
- Multiple sclerosis
- General muscle weakness
Session frequency: once a month, on Sat mornings

Things to note:
Participant will have to transfer out of his/her wheelchair to the powerchair (electric wheelchair) to play the sport. There will be nurse & volunteers present to assist.
Free shuttle (including wheelchair accessible transfer) is provided between Boon Keng/ Mounbatten MRT station and Handicaps Welfare Association. We will be in contact with you to confirm your shuttle slot.
As Powerchair Football is conducted outdoors, the session may be postponed if weather conditions are unfavorable.
