RMITAS was registered as a society under the laws of Singapore in the year 2000.

2. Recognition by Stakeholders

RMITAS is recognised by RMIT University as its official alumni association in Singapore and is supported by RMIT University, Melbourne and RMIT Vietnam to organise suitable events for members. In 2018, RMITAS was granted to be part of brand extension of RMIT University using RMIT's brand logo.

3. Purpose of the Association

RMITAS aims to provide RMIT graduates living/or working in Singapore with good professional development and social networking opportunities to keep alumni (almost 60,000 over the years in Singapore) connected with RMIT and each other.
