Title: Unleashing the Power of Digital Platforms for Book Discussion

Embark on a journey of discovery with Ricky Law from Sunshine Seniors as he unveils the art of transforming book-reading into vibrant digital conversations.

The session will discuss how the use of Web 2.0 digital platforms can exchange information, share rich content from books, spark thought-provoking ideas and encourage profound reflections with fellow seniors by leveraging on Facebook and blogging on WordPress.

Seniors Meet Seniors (SMS) Knowledge Café is a place where people can meet seniors to have fun and productive conversations to learn from each other and to make better sense of living in an urban community. The objective of the SMS Knowledge Café is to encourage peer-led discussion and learning in small groups for seniors.

About the Series

The Time Of Your Life (TOYL) programme series features informative talks, creative workshops, book clubs, and learning communities for those aged 50 and above. Seniors can expect to stay relevant with these programmes that cover a wide range of topics such as health, personal finance, technology, and the arts.

  • All participants are required to register for a ticket. Each ticket admits 1 person only. Please present your ticket when you enter the library and the event venue.
  • Arrive 10 mins before the session commences. Seats of late attendees may be given to those in the waitlist
  • NLB reserves the right to deny entry to participants who do not abide by the ground rules.
  • Please note that photos and/or videos of this programme and its participants may be taken.
