About Houg
Houg, the artistic persona of Sameh Wahba, is a Singaporean artist-producer known for his unique blend of chillwave, trip-hop, and dreamy R&B. His music, often rich with lush textures and introspective lyricism, has positioned him as a compelling voice in alternative music. Beyond sound, Houg has always embraced visual storytelling as a key part of his artistry. He has self-directed multiple music videos, working with formats like 8mm film and PlayStation 1-style animation, pushing the boundaries of how visuals can enhance music.

His debut album, The Biting Tempo (2022), was a deeply reflective project inspired by his time in Australia, exploring themes of decayed relationships and introspection. His upcoming release, Mild Nourishment, takes an even more immersive approach, drawing inspiration from nostalgic video games and surreal aesthetics. Created entirely with the iconic Roland JV-1080 synthesizer, this new project blends quirky, surreal tones with chill, vaporwave-adjacent aesthetics, further proving his dedication to pushing creative boundaries.

If you’re looking to craft a richer, more immersive experience for your audience, this workshop will give you the tools to bring your vision to life.
