Our History

Over forty years ago, NESA set out to redefine what it means to age, proving that fun never gets old! We believe that staying active and connected is the secret to feeling young. Whether we're learning, playing, building, eating, dancing, or traveling together, we’re happier, healthier, and living life to the fullest. Thanks to support from the City of Edmonton and the Northgate Lions, NESA has grown into the city's largest seniors recreation centre—and we can't wait for you to join in the fun!

Our vibrant, two-storey space is packed with possibilities. We have a spacious auditorium for sports, dance, and endless activities, a fully-equipped fitness centre, and over twenty rooms dedicated to performing and visual arts programs. And don’t forget our cozy café, where you’ll find fresh coffee and irresistible treats. Come by and see how much fun is waiting for you!
